I Presentation:

French-speaking localization "Tripartite" VF 1.4b adds the French as a third language available in the texts and keyboard options of the game.

This patch for Silent Hunter III does not remove nor does not replace any vital file of the game. It does nothing but add some lines in the localization.cfg file, making it possible to add the choice of the French in the games options. This is why you can install the official patches diffused by UbiSoft before or after having installed French-speaking localization "Tripartite" . This translation does not interfere of anything with the installation patches of UbiSoft or Mods available on Internet.

The French-speaking localization "Tripartite" being dependent on certain improvements provided by the patch 1.1 of UbiSoft, it does not function on the 1.0 version of Silent Hunter III. You must have at least installed the patch 1.1 to be able to play with French-speaking localization "Tripartite" .

French-speaking localization "Tripartite" VF 1.4b was conceived for the version 1.4b of the play, and is fully compatible with versions 1.1, 1.2 and 1.3.

II Installation:

To install French-speaking localization "Tripartite" VF 1.4b double click on TripartiteTraduction_1.4b.exe file.
Once the installation carried out, launch Silent Hunter III then click on "Options" and choose "French" in the list of languages available for the texts, in the same way for the list of languages available for the keyboard (if you have a AZERTY keyboard).

French-speaking localization "Tripartite" VF 1.4b also distributes files "helps memory" which you can find on our Internet site: http://tripartite.free.fr.

We urge you to consult them, and even to print them for using them during playing.

III Known problems:

1. French-speaking localization "Tripartite"being dependent on work that had started the developers in the patch 1.1 to adapt the game to the French language, certain texts of the game remain visualized in English by default, in spite of our work.It is thus for:

- The class of the ships or submarines and the type of the aircraft in the museum or on the notepad.

- Messages received from BdU in the course of mission.

This problem could unfortunately be corrected only by UbiSoft developers, when they want to lean well again on the provision of a version de Silent Hunter III bound for the French-speaking community.

2. If you want uninstall French-speaking localization "Tripartite", you must change the settings of the texts and keyboard options to English or German before uninstall French-speaking localization "Tripartite". If not, next time you'll load the game it couldn't find the French files and will not function correctly.
